EMORY EASTSIDE HOLDS RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONY FOR NEW DIGITAL IMAGING CENTER IN LOGANVILLE, GEORGIA

May 4, 2010 - Emory Eastside at Loganville celebrated the end of construction on the new digital imaging center with a three hour Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on Saturday, May 1st.
Atlanta’s landmark drive-in, The Varsity, (with their infamous slogan “What’ll ya have!) catered the event with their mobile kitchen serving the traditional favorites, and the DJ provided a mix of music for all.  The moonwalk was a success with the kids, and then Atlanta Falcon’s Freddie Falcon arrived and stole the show.  The Loganville Fire Department simulated an actual rescue attempt using the Jaws of Life to remove the patient from the accident which drew quite a crowd.  Tours of the facility were given and guests signed up for door prizes which have been announced on Facebook.

The 6,400 square foot, $3 million, state of the art digital imaging center is on Highway 81 South, approximately one mile off of Highway 78. 

“This is a new beginning for Emory Eastside as we are taking services to the community.  It is an honor to provide a facility that will afford quality, convenience and close to home,” says Kim Ryan, CEO. 

The Loganville Imaging Center will be staffed by six board certified radiologists, three of whom are interventional radiologists and one that specializes in mammography.  The services will include MRI, CT, Mammography, X-Ray, Ultrasound, and Bone Densitometry. 

The facility began seeing patients yesterday.
